The Musée des Mines' new digital tour offers a unique immersion in Luxembourg's mining heritage.
Thanks to a tablet handed out at reception - in addition to a safety helmet - each visitor can explore the underground galleries through an enriched tour that is fun, interactive and captivating.
Guided by Spooky, the mine's ghost, you can trigger animations in augmented reality and virtual reality: silhouettes of miners come to life, historic machines start moving again, scenes from the past come to life in the very place where they took place.
Then board the train for the galleries and take on Spooky's interactive challenge, designed to test your knowledge of the history of iron ore.
On the surface, the exhibition rooms are also enriched with immersive experiences. Take a seat in the time station and travel back in time to discover the mine as it was in 1900.
To round off your visit, drop by the brewery to learn more about the miner's traditional meal, both on screen and... on your plate!

Fully available in Lëtzebuergesch, French, German and English, this digital tour complements and enriches the classic visit.
It provides access to exclusive content: an authentic speech by mining MP Jean-Pierre Bausch, animated diagrams to help visitors understand support techniques, reanimated machines, and a reconstruction of the region's geological evolution - right back to the dinosaurs.
A unique immersive experience that brings Luxembourg's mining history to life, transforming your visit into a real journey back in time.
